The Live Plug Connector, also known as the LPC separation filter, is designed to safely introduce a locating frequency onto a live street distribution cable. This is achieved by using a standard domestic mains socket from a building. This method enables the tracing of the cable from the building to its street connection. The LPC separation filter is compatible with transmitter frequencies of 8 kHz, 33 kHz, and 65 kHz, and features a rotary knob for phase switching. The Live Plug Connector can be used for connections involving voltages between 100V AC and 250V AC.
This device allows for the application of a locating signal to all utility services using a single connection. It also offers phase switching capabilities.
