vLoc3-Cam Sonde Locator

The vLoc3-Cam is one of the most user-friendly sonde locators on the market today. Its omni-directional antenna array allows you to approach the sonde from any direction, with directional arrows guiding the operator first to the front or rear locate point, and then precisely to the sonde’s position.

The vLoc3-Cam supports multiple sonde frequencies, making it compatible with most major push cameras and crawler cameras available. In Pushrod Trace mode, a secondary display is provided for tracing the path of the pushrod within the pipe, or for pipe tracing using an optional portable transmitter.

Equipped with two passive locate modes, Power and Radio, the vLoc3-Cam can detect live power lines, CATV, telephone lines, and metallic pipes that emit 50/60 Hz signals from nearby or overhead power sources. For active locating, using a portable transmitter, the vLoc3-Cam offers an 83.1kHz frequency ideal for tracing the pushrod. This frequency is particularly useful for water and gas utilities, especially larger pipes with bell housings and gaskets, as well as for locating ungrounded small diameter drop wires and inducing signals onto services when direct connection isn't possible.
