Part Number: 18-FFPC1
The Jameson 18-FFPC1 Fiber Driver Kit provides a faster, more efficient way to install compatible flat fiber optic drop cable through duct. Powered by a cordless drill, this lightweight fiber installation tool replaces repetitive hand-over-hand feeding with a controlled mechanical drive.
Designed for single-operator use, the Fiber Driver can pull cable directly from a supported reel while pushing it into the duct. The complete kit includes multiple duct adapters and a fitted hard case that protects and organizes the tool between installations.
Faster FTTH Drop Cable Installation
Manual fiber feeding can be slow, physically demanding, and prone to cable buckling. The Jameson Fiber Driver applies consistent mechanical force to help crews complete final-drop installations faster and with less operator fatigue.
Under suitable conditions, the 18-FFPC1 can push compatible fiber more than 300 feet in less than 30 seconds. Actual speed and distance depend on the cable, duct size, duct condition, bends, elevation changes, friction, and overall route design.
Because the Fiber Driver can be loaded onto or removed from the cable mid-span, operators are not limited to beginning at the end of the fiber.
Jameson 18-FFPC1 Features
Optimized for Flat Fiber Drop Cable
The included drive and idle wheels are optimized for fiberglass-reinforced optical cable approximately 0.3 inches wide. The Fiber Driver may also accommodate cables with similar dimensions.
The wheels are removable and serviceable. Additional wheels, rollers, inserts, and adapters may be available for other cable profiles and duct sizes. Confirm cable and duct compatibility before beginning an installation.
Cordless Drill Powered Operation
The 18-FFPC1 does not require a dedicated hydraulic power unit or specialized drive system. A compatible cordless drill powers the Fiber Driver and gives the operator control over installation speed and direction.
Forward and reverse operation allows technicians to push or retract compatible cable as jobsite conditions require. The handheld design also makes the tool easy to transport between residential and commercial fiber installations.
