Wireless Control for Vivax-Metrotech HD Camera Reels
The Vivax-Metrotech vCam Wi-Fi Adapter turns a compatible vCam reel equipped with an HD camera head into a compact wireless pipe inspection system. Instead of using a traditional control module, operators can connect the camera reel to a compatible smartphone or tablet through the vCam Mobile Controller (VMC) App.
Once connected, the mobile device becomes the system’s monitor, controller, recorder and file-management tool. Operators can view live inspection video, control the camera lights, reset the distance counter, activate the sonde, add text and audio commentary, capture images and record inspection videos directly from the app.
The vCam Wi-Fi Adapter is an excellent accessory for contractors, plumbers, municipal crews and utility professionals who want a lighter, more portable camera setup with modern recording and file-sharing capabilities.

Quick-Release Reel Mount
The included mounting bracket attaches to the tube frame of compatible Vivax-Metrotech reels for a clean, secure jobsite setup.

The internal lithium-ion battery provides up to six hours of intermittent operation from an approximately three-hour charge.
Compatible Vivax-Metrotech Camera Equipment
The vCam Wi-Fi Adapter is designed for Vivax-Metrotech camera reels equipped with an HD camera head. Compatible HD camera heads include:
- D18-HD camera head
- D26-HD camera head
- D34-HD camera head
- D46-HD camera head
The adapter supports current Type-MX and Type-CP reels. It can also be used with legacy Type-C, Type-P, Type-M and Type-M2 reels that have received the appropriate HD camera upgrade.
