Every vCam-6 rides on the same stainless Type-CP reel. Five choices shape it to the work you actually do — and the part number updates as you go.

All pricing is by quote. Call (303) 762-1070 and we’ll confirm the build before you buy — no camera is exactly right for every job, and we’d rather get it right the first time.
Add to your build
These order alongside the base build — they don’t change the part number above. The 12 ft interconnect cable is already included with every Control Module build.
The reel, frame, wheels and crank are identical on every build. The pushrod is the decision that shapes how the camera behaves in the pipe — and you can spot it at a glance, because the two rods are different colours.

With skidHeads swap in the field. You are not locked into the head you buy with the reel. Add the second size and one reel covers both ends of your work — run the D34 down a lateral in the morning, swap to the D46 for a main in the afternoon.
Add a second head: D34-HD 1.111.05.00001 · D46-HD 1.111.03.00001
The head threads onto the termination spring. Inside that spring a coiled cable carries the signal down to the head, and lanyards run alongside it to take the pull load — so when you haul back on a stuck camera, the lanyards absorb the strain instead of the cable. Treat that joint properly and it lasts for years.
Camera heads take a beating. Crushed in a joint, burned by a jetter, run over in the yard — it happens. If we can read the serial number on the housing, we’ll exchange it for a new head at a fraction of replacement cost, no matter what shape it comes back in.

The Control Module is the dedicated viewer — screen, recorder and controls in one sealed case that lives on the reel. Everything is on board, so there’s nothing to pair and nothing to forget in the truck.

The left and right panels carry the connections, and sealed flaps keep grit and water out of the ports when they’re not in use — which matters when the module is sitting open next to a manhole. Click the panel thumbnails above to see both sides.

View 3The Control Module isn’t the only way to watch. The vCam Wi-Fi Adapter clamps to the reel frame and streams to a phone or tablet through the free VMC app on iOS and Android. It fits any Vivax-Metrotech reel, including older vCam-5 reels, so an idle reel goes back to work.
The dedicated viewer. Nothing to pair, nothing to charge separately, 1 TB on board. Required for the rotate-and-tilt table.
1.111.01.00008
Record to the device you already carry. Lower cost of entry, and it revives older vCam-5 reels the current Control Module won’t run.
1.114.03.00001
You can run both. The Wi-Fi Adapter isn’t either/or — crews with a Control Module add one so a second person can watch on a tablet, or so the homeowner can see the problem without crowding the reel.
