Fisher engineers have enhanced the TW6's sensitivity by replacing unnecessary metal parts with durable ABS molded plastic, and upgrading the coil windings and electronics, resulting in a significantly increased tracing distance. True to Fisher's legacy, the TW6 is rugged, affordable, and user-friendly, while delivering exceptional performance. The TW6 comes with a standard two-year limited warranty.
Key features include a crystal-controlled frequency for both transmitter and receiver, ensuring longer tracing distances. Unlike other models with separate transmitters and receivers, the TW6 can conduct "blind" searches when mounted on the handle, even if the starting point is unknown. Additional features include VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) for a wider range of audio signals, noise-canceling circuitry to reduce power line interference, and it operates on 16 standard AA batteries (eight in the transmitter, eight in the receiver) for convenient, easy power.
