he vLoc3-DM is designed to precisely locate pipelines and assess pipe coating defects, making it ideal for both transmission and distribution systems. With the vLoc3-DM and plug-in A-frame, a complete ACVG survey can be conducted. The vLoc3-DM display is optimized for pipeline evaluation, allowing real-time data graphing on the receiver while still in the field. The walk-back feature helps the operator navigate back to key points of interest for further evaluation or an ACVG, A-frame survey.
Equipped with dual sets of 3D antennas, the vLoc3-DM easily detects and displays signal distortion on its bright, full-color screen. It introduces advanced locate screens like Vector Locate for automatic non-walk-over locating, Transverse Graph displaying both peak and null for immediate distortion measurement, and Plan View for visualizing the cable’s orientation at any angle. Users can configure visual and vibration alerts for shallow depths, overloads, overhead cables, and excessive swinging.
The 150-watt Loc-150Tx DM Transmitter typically applies the location signal by connecting directly to the pipe at CP stations and test posts. It can be powered by CP stations, AC, or external batteries. Two rotary/push control knobs allow access to frequency selection, output level, menu settings, and active/standby modes. The transmitter comes with direct connection leads, a DC input lead, and an AC mains lead.
