The Loc-150Tx 150-Watt DM Transmitter is primarily designed for use with the Defect Mapper (DM) Receiver but is also beneficial for applications requiring a low-frequency, high-output transmitter.
Typically, the Loc-150Tx applies a signal current to the anode bed, with the pipeline returning the signal through coating faults back to the transmitter. The Loc-150Tx is designed to be powered by CP (Cathodic Protection) stations, AC, or external batteries, eliminating the need for internal power sources. It offers direct connection mode to apply locate frequency onto the conductor, with no clamp or induction modes.
Selectable direct connection frequencies range from 98Hz to 512Hz (640Hz in Europe). Its 2-inch by 1-inch dot matrix display with LED backlight provides real-time information on output current, voltage, frequency, and warnings for over-voltage, over-temperature, or over-power conditions.
Two rotary/push control knobs allow easy access to frequency selection, output level, menu navigation, and switching between active/standby modes. The transmitter comes with direct connection leads, DC input leads, and an AC mains lead for versatile operation.
