VM 550 Series
The VM 550 Series are versatile locators designed for detecting buried utilities in a wide range of situations. Equipped with a 50/60Hz passive power locating frequency and three active frequencies, the VM 550 series is ideal for detecting active power cables and tracing short distances. Additionally, the 1-Watt transmitter includes an 8kHz Fault-find frequency, allowing it to locate ground-to-sheath faults on cables when used with the VM-510 Stand Alone A-Frame fault locator.
The 1-Watt Transmitter can apply a locate frequency either through direct connection or by induction. Optional Induction Clamps are available to clamp around a line and induce the locate signal onto it.
